High-performance endless polyester round slings designed for the most demanding lifting operations. Manufactured to EN 1492-2 standards, these slings consist of a continuous loop of high-tenacity polyester yarns encased in a durable, double-layer protective jacket. Known for their extreme flexibility, they contour perfectly to the shape of the load, making them the ultimate choice for cylindrical objects and choker hitches. Available from 1 Ton to 30 Tons with standard color-coding and a 7:1 Safety Factor.

The Anatomy of a Round Sling
Unlike traditional flat webbing slings, round slings feature an "endless loop" design. The core of the sling is made from multiple wraps of 100% high-tenacity polyester (PES) continuous filament yarns. These core yarns carry 100% of the load. They are protected by a seamless, double-wall woven polyester tubular jacket. This non-load-bearing outer jacket shields the inner core from abrasion, dirt, and UV degradation.
Key Advantages of Round Slings
- Infinite Wear Points:Â Because the sling is a continuous loop, the points of contact with the crane hook and the load can be rotated with each use. This evenly distributes wear and significantly extends the lifespan of the equipment compared to fixed-eye slings.
- Superior Choking:Â Their soft, tubular construction allows them to easily conform to the load. They are exceptionally secure when used in a "choker hitch," tightly gripping cylindrical loads like pipes, tubes, and timber without causing surface damage.
- Lightweight & Ergonomic:Â Even a high-capacity 10-Ton or 20-Ton round sling is remarkably lightweight and easy for riggers to handle, reducing physical fatigue on the job site.
EWL vs. Circumference: What You Need to Know
When ordering round slings, it is crucial to understand the measurements:
- EWL (Effective Working Length): This is the length of the sling when laid flat and pulled taut from end to end. (Example: 3 Meters EWL)
- Circumference: This is the total length of the continuous loop, which is always exactly double the EWL. (Example: 3 Meters EWL = 6 Meters Circumference)
All our product length selections are based on EWL.
Safety & Inspection Standards
All round slings in this category strictly comply with the EN 1492-2:2000+A1:2008 European machinery directive. Each sling comes with a tough, reinforced blue identification label detailing the Working Load Limit (WLL), material, safety factor (7:1), length, and manufacturer traceability codes. Always inspect the outer jacket before lifting; if the inner core yarns are exposed, the sling must be removed from service immediately.
